About Scott

Scott has built a unique and varied career—from working as a plumber’s apprentice and carpenter after college, to a brief period in the education field, and most recently a successful tenure in commercial construction. His construction career culminated in serving as a project manager on the Baird Center Expansion in downtown Milwaukee.

Driven by a desire to continually grow and leverage his strengths, Scott realized he was ready to move on from “building buildings” to “building relationships with teams and businesses.” He excels at cultivating relationships and leading cross-functional teams, and is excited to support Abacus’s growth and presence in Milwaukee and beyond.

Outside the office, Scott and his family love being outdoors and staying active—coaching soccer for his kids, camping with friends, and keeping winter fun with downhill skiing.

On his favorite project

"Coming from the General Contractor world, I have done both large and small-scale construction projects in my career and have consistently found the adage “Greatness is in the agency of others” to be true. My favorite part of every project has been the people and teams I have had the privilege to work alongside. The synergy and cohesion of a strong team creates the real magic."

On relational architecture

It is about going the extra mile to create genuine moments of human connection. Life is more than the day-to-day grind—it’s about building relationships and supporting one another in pursuit of what is good and beautiful. This may sound idealistic, but living this way I have made many trusted relationships in my life.
