Kewaskum High School, Kewaskum, Wisconsin

OVERVIEW

The objective of the Kewaskum School District was to create much-needed space without increasing its current footprint. Splitting the 15,600-square-foot area of the old high school gymnasium, Abacus Architects, Inc. was able to design two unique areas for the school’s use. The first is a Library, where colorful soffits and columns create a visual statement. Also included in this area are two computer labs and office space. The environment is warm and inviting to both students and staff.

The second space to be created is an Auditorium, complete with a raised stage, stadium seating for 350 people, and dressing rooms. It is an amazing transformation from the old gym that it once was!
